I had a fun time acting silly with this couple. We had a very playful shoot and I think I caught their personalities on full display. The autumn colors and evening sunlight lend a nice romantic mood.
It’s like Minneapolis’ version of Central Park. The St. Anthony area is a photographer’s playground.
Phoebe was having fun right up until Nate dropped her. She just laughed it off.
Beautiful light, stunning cityscape, and a powerful pose. Works for me!
The spontaneous moments are always more fun.
Nate doesn’t seem to mind that Phoebe is rolling her eyes. A common occurrence? :)
Thanks Phoebe and Nate, can’t wait for the wedding in April!
As soon as Kate mentioned she and Nick liked visiting apple orchards, this entire photo shoot flashed before my eyes. I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect evening, setting, or couple. Most photographers fear lens flare. I embrace it and the ethereal mood it creates.
I dare you not to smile at this.
That’s right. They brought a picnic basket. It was a prop AND held a snack. How functional!
Kate’s look, the light, and the colors of this one make it one of my all-time favorite pictures.
Nice assist by the wind on Kate’s hair.
How can you beat this beautiful sunset?
Thanks Kate and Nick, that was super fun!
I too love your all time favorite. Your pics always bring a smile to my face. Wonderful, Eric!

Now is a beautiful time of year for engagement pictures as the leaves are starting to change. We visited Lake of the Isles and downtown Minneapolis to create these images.
One of my favorite pictures of the day. I love the mood. Thanks to this building for providing perfect elements of composition.
Mood, colors, expression, and beautiful people.
Looking pretty tough on those steps.
These two got engaged on Lake of the Isles. I love that it makes these images even more meaningful.
Thanks for being amazing models, Chelsy and Scott!
That's a fine looking couple.

These two drove up from Des Moines to have their engagement session in the Twin Cities. We had a great time making some beautiful pictures. Can’t wait for their wedding this October!
I love finding old buildings like this. A nice relaxed scene.
I don’t know what they were talking about but there was a lot of laughing going on.
Looking very content.

The three of us had a great time running around town (and riding the light rail) to get these engagement pictures taken just in time for their wedding this weekend!
I can’t stop smiling when I look at this picture.
So pretty!
Did I mention we had fun?
Can’t wait to post wedding pictures from these two!
These photos are fantastic! The picture on the stairs is so unique with the intricate patterns on the door and lanterns - a classic feel and yet My Lihn & Pablo still pop.
(08.06.09)These are gorgeous!
(08.07.09)I like how your pictures aren't just headshots in a studio and how you get them out in different settings to make it engagement photos meet really great scenic photography.
(08.07.09)Agreed! Stunning both of you! Good work Eric!
(08.08.09)Is it possible for you to shoot our wedding? Have they mastered that time travel business yet?!
